PG Cert Leading Special Educational Needs
Course Overview
The PG Cert Leading Special Educational Needs in International Contexts is designed for educators and school leaders who want to lead inclusive practice and improve outcomes for learners with SEND across diverse global settings.
This course is ideal for teachers, SEN coordinators, inclusion leads, and school leaders working in international or non-UK contexts who wish to deepen their understanding of SEND, leadership, policy, and inclusive practice. It equips participants with the knowledge and leadership skills needed to make informed, ethical, and culturally responsive decisions that support learners with diverse needs.
Through a strong focus on global perspectives, the programme helps you critically explore how culture, religion, policy, history, and societal factors shape SEND provision worldwide. You will develop the confidence to advocate for inclusion, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and apply evidence-informed strategies that have real impact in your own educational setting.
Graduates of this course are better prepared to take on strategic leadership roles in inclusion, influence policy and practice, and support schools in creating equitable learning environments for all learners.
